[VIDEO] Ken Rugg, CEO of Tesora, discusses the latest innovations in the OpenStack Trove project and what's coming in the Newton release cycle.

The OpenStack Mitaka release debuted back in April of this year and with it came a series of updated open source projects, including the Trove database-as-a-service effort.

OpenStack developers are now working on the next major iteration of the cloud platform, dubbed Newton, set to debut later this year, and Trove developers are already working hard adding new features.

Among the leading contributors to Trove development is Tesora, led by CEO Ken Rugg. In a video interview, Rugg details what his company is working on for the OpenStack Newton release and how the Tesora Enterprise release is set to evolve.

Enterprise Apps Today recently tapped Tesora as one of seven significant DBaaS vendors that companies evaluating database-as-a-service might want to consider.
