San Mateo, Calif. and Minnesota-based nQuire launched its nQuire suite of products in late 1999 to monitor and deliver real-time intelligence based on any fact-based problem or opportunity by initiating an e-mail or page to any device, such as a laptop, pager, PDA, RIM, U.S. and European mobile phones.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Siebel, (NASDAQ:SEBL) also based in San Mateo, said that the deal will allow it to "introduce a new paradigm in business analytics by delivering real-time business and customer insight -- spanning data warehouses and operational sources -- to thousands of users..."
Siebel 7 is an integrated suite of applications for customer relationship management (CRM -- including applications for partner relationship management (PRM) and employee relationship management (ERM) -- all based on a common Web architecture.
"With the nQuire acquisition, we will fundamentally change organizations' understanding and deployment of customer intelligence and market intelligence," said Thomas M. Siebel, chairman and CEO.

nQuire's existing customers include CSX Transportation, McDonald's, Simon Property Group, and Union Pacific Railroad.
