GlobalOne LLC, a company that provides consulting, systems integration and application development services, recently rolled out a solution called G1 Asset Management that is designed to help financial services firms take advantage of cloud-based CRM services using a framework created on the Salesforce.com development platform.
Geoff Merrick, the company’s chief technology officer, said the solution will ease asset management companies’ move to the cloud by providing workflows, screen designs, customizations, data models and integration specifications appropriate to their business strategies.
The solution provides at least 50 percent of the out-of-the-box functionality most asset management companies want, and GlobalOne can offer guidance with any added customization. “We can get them to a more feature-rich environment, in a shorter period of time, for less cost,” Merrick said.
Merrick said the solution includes collaborative features so managers, financial advisors and other employees can easily share information with each other. The software can also be used on mobile devices.
To help financial services companies leverage these mobile capabilities, the company today launched GlobalOne Mobility, a practice that offers professional services for building, deploying and maintaining mobile cloud apps for both consumer and enterprise environments. Doug Maloney, a former Vodafone Hutchinson Australia executive, will lead the new practice.
David Northington, GlobalOne’s CEO, said the new practice “will focus on the tremendous opportunity to bring consumer-style user experience and scale to mobile enterprise applications.”
Asset management is the first of several planned cloud-based vertical CRM solutions. GlobalOne intends to introduce retail banking and wealth management products in 2012.
